  • Moderate to severe manic episodes, a condition with symptoms of excitement or euphoria.
  • Olanzapine has been shown to prevent the recurrence of these symptoms in patients with bipolar disorder whose manic episode has responded to olanzapine treatment.

 

Method Of Administration Of Prexal 10 Mg Tablets

  • Your doctor will tell you how many Olanzapine tablets to take and how long you should continue to take them.
  • The daily dose of Olanzapine is between 5 mg and 20 mg.
  • You should take your Olanzapine tablets once a day following the advice of your doctor.
  • Try to take your tablets at the same time each day. It does not matter whether you take them with or without food.
  • Olanzapine-coated tablets are for oral use. You should swallow the Olanzapine tablets whole with water.
  • Olanzapine is not for patients who are under 18 years.
  • Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
