Why Simethicone is used:

Simethicone is used to relieve painful symptoms such as: a sensation of pressure, fullness in the epigastric region, and intestinal cramps due to excessive gas buildup that may form in the gastrointestinal tract.

Do not use Simethicone:

If you have capillary disease.

If you have gastrointestinal disorders.

Warnings and Precautions:

No special precautions are necessary.

Possible Side Effects:

Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing.

Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching of the face or body.

Other Medications and Simethicone:

No interactions with other agents have been reported.

Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription.

How to use Simethicone:

Drops:
Infants (under 2 years): Half a dropper (approximately 1/2 ml or 10 drops) equivalent to 20 mg simethicone four times daily after meals and at bedtime.
Children (2-12 years): One dropper (approximately 1 ml or 20 drops) equivalent to 40 mg simethicone four times daily after meals and at bedtime.
For diagnostic purposes (endoscopic, radiological, or ultrasound examinations), the drops are administered as follows: 50 drops 3-4 times daily for the two days preceding the examination, and 50 drops fasting on the morning of the examination and immediately before the examination.
For infants and children, it is not recommended to exceed 240 mg/day except under the supervision and guidance of a physician.
Chewable tablets:
It is recommended to take one tablet four times daily after meals and at bedtime. The tablets should be chewed well before swallowing them alone or with some water.
