Rofenac Gel is specially formulated to be applied and massaged onto the skin and is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in painful conditions affecting joints and muscles.
Product Description:
Rofenac Gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac, which belongs to a group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Directions for Use:
Always use Rofenac Gel exactly as your doctor has told you.
The gel is for external use only. Do not take it orally. Tell a doctor immediately if it is accidentally swallowed.
Do not get Rofenac Gel into your eyes. If this happens, rinse your eyes thoroughly with clean water. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if any discomfort persists.
Adults
Remove the tube from the carton. Before first use, pierce the tube's seal using the pointed end of the cap. Gently squeeze the tube to release a small amount of gel and apply it to the painful or swollen area 3-4 times a day, massaging it in slowly.
The amount required will vary depending on the size of the painful or swollen area. An amount the size of one to two dimes is usually sufficient. You may feel a slight cooling sensation when applying the gel.
Do not apply the gel to cuts, open wounds, or any other area with abnormal skin. After massaging the gel onto the skin, do not cover the skin surface with bandages or plasters.
Be careful not to get the gel into your eyes. If this happens, rinse your eyes with clean water and tell your doctor.
Wash your hands after applying Rofenac Gel, unless your hands are the area being treated.
Replace the cap.
Leave at least four hours between doses of the gel. Do not apply more than four times in any 24-hour period.
This medicine is not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age.
Do not use Rofenac Gel for more than:
Two weeks for muscle and joint injuries (such as sprains, strains, and bruises) or tendonitis.
If you are using the gel for arthritis, your doctor may want to review your treatment regularly.
If you do not notice that your symptoms improve within this time, or if they worsen, consult your doctor.
In children aged 14 years and over, if you use this medicine for more than 7 days to relieve pain or if symptoms worsen,
the patient or their family should consult a doctor.
