Fluorometholone Sodium Cromoglicate 0.1% Ophthalmic Suspension
What is Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate used for?
The Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate combination is used to treat eye swelling and irritation caused by allergies.
Do not take Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate:
· If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medication.
· If you have any severe eye infections or tuberculosis of the eye.
Warnings and Precautions:
Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including if you have:
· If you have had any other eye problems, including increased pressure in the eye.
· If you have a viral infection such as herpes.
Prolonged use of this medication may lead to increased pressure in the eye. This may lead to eye problems such as glaucoma, optic nerve damage, and blurred vision. It can also lead to eye infections.
The preservative benzalkonium chloride in this eye drop can damage contact lenses. If you wear contact lenses, wait 15 minutes after using this medication before replacing them.
Possible side effects:
Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.
Side effects include:
· Eye irritation
· Burning or stinging
· Blurred vision
· Redness
Other medications and Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate:
· Tell your doctor about all the medications you take.
· Separate this medication from other eye drops.
How to use Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate:
· Take this medication as directed by your doctor.
· This medication is for the eyes only.
· The usual recommended dose is one or two drops in the eye two to four times daily.
How to store Fluorometholone/Sodium Cromoglicate:
· Store at room temperature below 77°F (25°C).
· Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
· Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton.
