Why is Bisoprolol used?
Selecta is used to treat high blood pressure.
Do not use bisoprolol tablets:
 If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Warnings and precautions:
• You suffer from severe asthma or chronic lung disease.
• You have a severe problem with blood circulation to the extremities (such as Raynaud"s syndrome), which may cause your fingers and toes to cramp or turn pale or blue.
• You have an untreated malignancy, which is a rare adrenal gland tumor.
• You have metabolic acidity, a condition when there are too many acids in the blood.
• Severe heart failure or heart failure that suddenly becomes worse and/or that may require hospitalization.
• slow heart rate.
• Severe drop in blood pressure.
• A certain heart condition that causes a very slow heart rate or an irregular heartbeat.
• Cardiogenic shock, a severe acute heart condition that causes low blood pressure and circulatory failure.

If you have any of the following conditions:
• diabetic.
• Strict fasting (fasting on solid food).
• Certain heart conditions, such as an irregular heartbeat or severe chest pain at rest (Prinzmetal"s angina).
• Kidney or liver disease.
• Less severe circulation problems in your extremities.
• Less severe asthma or chronic lung disease.
• A history of a scaly skin rash (psoriasis).
• Tumor of the adrenal gland (medulla) (pheochromocytoma).
Thyroid disorder.

Possible side effects:

Water-based medicines that control blood pressure or medicines for heart problems (eg amiodarone, amlodipine, clonidine, digitalis glycosides, diltiazem, disopyramide, felodipine, flecainide, lidocaine, methyldopa, moxonidine, phenytoin, propafenone, quinidine, rilminidine).
• Medicines for depression such as imipramine, amitriptyline, moclobemide.
• Medicines to treat mental illness such as phenothiazines such as levomepromazine.

• 1.25 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for a week.
• 2.5 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for a week.
• 3.75 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for a week.
• 5 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for four weeks.
• 7.5 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for four weeks.
• 10 mg Bisoprolol Fumarate once daily for continuous treatment.
The maximum recommended daily dose of bisoprolol fumarate is 10 mg.
