    Doxycycline is used to treat different types of infections including:
    Respiratory infections (chest, lung or nose)
    Urinary tract infections
    Acne (pimples)
    Eye infections
    Sexually transmitted diseases
    Malaria when Chloroquine is not effective
    It can also be used to prevent certain infections.

    Do not take Doxycycline:
    If you’re allergic to Doxycycline, other tetracyclines, or any other component of this medicine.
    If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

    Warnings and precautions:
    Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine including:
    If you are going to be exposed to strong sunlight or UV light.
    If you have myasthenia gravis.
    If you have liver or kidney problems.
    If you have systemic lupus erythematosus SLE.
    If you have porphyria, a blood disorder.
    If you ever had severe diarrhea after prolonged antibiotic use.
    Taking this medicine for longer than recommended can lead to a second infection.

    Possible side effects:
    Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

    Talk to your doctor if you experience:
    Severe bloody diarrhea
    Fever, swollen lymph nodes or skin rash
    Very severe headache which may be associated with visual disturbances such as blurred vision, double vision or loss of vision.

    Antacids
    Medicines for epilepsy (fits)
    Warfarin
    Oral contraceptives
    Retinoids

    How to take Doxycycline :

    Take with a full glass of water.
    If it causes stomach upset, take with food.
    The usual dosing is 100-200 mg daily depending on the infection.

    Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).
    Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
    Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
