Product Description

Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate Chewable Tablets

Why are Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate Chewable Tablets used?

For the relief of indigestion, heartburn, nervous dyspepsia, hyperacidity, flatulence, gastritis, upset stomach, dyspepsia, epilepsy, overeating, and indigestion during pregnancy.

Do not use Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate Chewable Tablets if:

• Hypersensitivity to any of the product ingredients

• Hypercalcemia and/or conditions leading to hypercalcemia

• Nephrolithiasis due to stones containing calcium deposits

• Severe renal failure

• Hypophosphatemia

Warnings and Precautions:

• Prolonged use should be avoided.

• The specified dose should not be exceeded. If symptoms persist after 14 days of treatment or are only partially resolved, the patient should consult a doctor.

• Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment.

• Long-term use at high doses can lead to undesirable effects such as hypercalcemia, hypermagnesemia, and milk-alkali syndrome, especially in patients with renal insufficiency.

• It should not be used in patients with hypercalciuria. Prolonged use increases the risk of kidney stones.

• This product should not be taken with large amounts of milk or dairy products.

• Patients with rare hereditary problems such as fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

Possible side effects:

Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing. Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching of the face or body.

Other medications: Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Carbonate Chewable Tablets:

• It has been shown that antacids containing calcium or magnesium may form complexes with certain substances, such as antibiotics (such as tetracyclines and quinolones), cardiac glycosides (such as digoxin), levothyroxine, and eltrombopag, leading to reduced absorption. This should be taken into account when considering concomitant administration.

• Calcium salts reduce the absorption of fluorides and iron-containing products, and calcium and magnesium salts can inhibit phosphate absorption.

• Thiazide diuretics reduce urinary calcium excretion. Due to the increased risk of hypercalcemia, serum calcium should be monitored regularly during concomitant use of thiazide diuretics.

How to use Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Carbonate Chewable Tablets:

Tablets are taken orally, sucked, or chewed.

Adults and children over 12 years:
