2. What you need to know before using Omol Extra tablets:
Do not take Omol Extra tablets in the following cases:
You should not take Omol Extra if you have or have ever had an allergic reaction to paracetamol, caffeine or any of the other ingredients (listed in section 6).
Omol Extra should not be taken if you are taking other medicines that contain paracetamol.
You should not take Omol Extra if you are under 12 years old.

What are the precautions and warnings for Omol Extra capsules?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before you start taking Omol Extra if you:
Do not take Omol Extra if you have liver or kidney disease, including alcoholic liver disease.
Do not take Omol Extra if you are underweight or malnourished.
Do not use Omol Extra capsules if you regularly drink alcohol.
You have severe inflammation as this may increase your risk of developing metabolic acidosis.

Signs of metabolic acidosis include:
Deep, difficult and frequent breathing.
feeling tired (nausea) and sick (vomiting - loss of appetite - contact your doctor immediately if you get a combination of these symptoms. You may need to avoid using this product completely or limit the amount of paracetamol you are taking.
are taking any of the prescribed medications; particularly metoclopramide or domperidone (for nausea [feeling sick] or vomiting [being sick]) or cholestyramine (for lowering cholesterol).
If you take blood-thinning medications (anticoagulants such as warfarin) and need to take pain relievers daily, talk to your doctor because of the risk of bleeding.
But you can still take occasional doses of Omol Extra at the same time as your anticoagulant.

Can Omol Extra be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

For adults, the elderly, and children 16 years of age or older:
Take 2 tablets of Omol Extra with water and up to 4 times daily as needed.

Children aged 12 to 15 years:
Take one Omol Extra tablet with water, up to 4 times daily, as needed.
 Do not take Omol Extra more frequently than every 4 hours.
 Do not take more than 8 tablets of Omol Extra in 24 hours.
 Do not take Omol Extra more than the recommended dose.
 If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
 Prolonged use except under medical supervision may be harmful.
 Avoid excessive caffeine in drinks such as coffee and tea. Excessive caffeine intake can cause difficulty sleeping, tremors, and chest discomfort.
 Always use the lowest effective dose to relieve symptoms.
 If symptoms persist or your headache persists, see your doctor.
 If you take a lot of tablets.
 Seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, due to the risk of delayed and serious liver damage.

Like all medicines, Omol Extra 500 mg/65 mg can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Very rare cases of serious skin reactions to Omol Extra 500 mg/65 mg have been reported. If you experience any of the following effects, stop taking Omol Extra 500 mg/65 mg and refer to your doctor immediately:-
Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, sometimes with breathing problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face.
or you have previously had breathing problems with aspirin or a non-steroidal drug.
Anti-inflammatories, and I had a similar reaction with Omol Extra 500mg/65mg.
Severe rash, pallor of the skin may be accompanied by ulcers in the mouth.
These relics are very rare. The following side effects may also occur. Tell your doctor if you get them. In all the years that paracetamol has been used there have been very rare reports of blood disorders, but not necessarily caused by paracetamol. These effects should go away once you stop taking the medication.

Keep Omol Extra out of the reach and sight of children.
