Product Description:
Symbicort Turbuhaler 160 mcg/4.5 mcg/per dose inhalation, powder for inhalation.
Budesonide/formoterol fumarate dihydrate.

Usage Instructions:
How to take the inhalation dose from the device:

Each time you need to take an inhaled dose, follow these instructions:

1 . Unscrew and remove the cover. You may hear a clicking sound.

2 . Hold the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler upright by the red grip on the bottom.

3 . Do not hold the opening of the mouth when preparing a dose in the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler. To prepare a single dose in a Symbicort inhaler, rotate the red fist as far as it moves with you in one direction.

Then roll it so far that it moves with you in the other direction (it doesn"t matter which direction you start with). You should hear a clicking sound. This has created a dose in your Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler and is ready for use. Do not bring your Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler dose only when needed.
4 . Hold the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler away from your mouth. Exhale gently as much as it does not cause you any fatigue. Do not breathe into the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler.

5 . Gently place the mouth opening between your teeth, and close your lips. Breathe in deeply and as forcefully through your mouth. Do not chew or bite through the mouth opening.

6 . Remove the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler from your mouth. Then exhale gently. Note that the amount of medicine you inhale is very small, meaning you may not feel its taste after inhaling. But as long as you have followed the instructions, you can rest assured that you have inhaled the dose and that the medicine is now in your lungs.

7 . If you need a second inhalation, repeat steps 2 through 6.

8 . Put the cap back on tightly after use.

9 . Rinse with water after taking the daily morning or evening doses, then spit out the rinse water.

Do not attempt to remove or turn the mouthpiece, as it is attached to the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler and should not be removed. Do not use the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler if it is damaged or if the mouthpiece has separated.
As with all inhalers, caregivers must ensure that children prescribed to Symbicort Turbuhaler follow the correct inhalation technique, as described above.

Cleaning the Symbicort Turbohaler inhaler:
Wipe the outside of the mouth opening once a week with a dry tissue. Do not use water or any other liquid.
When to start using a new inhaler The dose indicator will show you how many doses of inhalation are left in your Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler. When you start using the device, the number on the indicator will be 60 or 120 doses.
The dosing indicator is divided into tabs, each of which indicates 10 doses, so the indicator does not show every dose.
When you first see a red mark on the edge of the indicator slot, this indicates that there are approximately 20 doses left. While using the last 10 doses, the indicator background will turn red. When the "0" mark on the red background reaches the middle of the indicator hole, you should start using a new Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler.
The handle will still turn and you will hear a "click" even if the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler is completely empty.
The sound you hear when you shake your Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler comes from a substance that absorbs moisture, not from the medicine. Therefore, the sound does not indicate how much medicine is left in the Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler.
If you accidentally get a dose into your Symbicort Turbuhaler inhaler more than once before you take your dose, you will only get one dose. However, the dose indicator will move by the amount of all the doses you have prepared
