Hyoscine butylbromide is used to treat stomach, intestinal, and bladder spasms. It can be used to stop spasms before x-rays.

Do not take hyoscine butylbromide

• If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

• If you have glaucoma.

• If you have myasthenia gravis.

• If you have or suspect you have a bowel obstruction.

• If you have a bowel obstruction or ileus.

• If you have an enlarged colon.

• If you have an enlarged prostate gland (for men).

Warnings and Precautions

Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including:

• If you have heart problems, such as a rapid heartbeat.

• If you have overactive thyroid.

• If you have difficulty urinating.

• If you have constipation.

• If you have a fever.

• If you have liver or kidney problems.

Possible Side Effects

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.

Serious Side Effects:

• Eye problems: pain and loss of vision.

How to take hyoscine butylbromide


• This medication is for adults and children 6 years and older.

• Take this medication as directed by your doctor.

• The usual dose is 20 mg, 3-4 times a day.

• For children 6-12 years of age, the usual dose is 10 mg 3 times a day.

How to store hyoscine butylbromide

• Store at room temperature 68-77°F (20-25°C).

• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the carton.

*The dosage and administration of hyoscine butylbromide 20 mg/ml solution for injection and 5 mg/5 ml syrup should be determined individually according to the therapeutic indication and severity of the disease.
