Fluorometholone 0.1% Ophthalmic Suspension

Why Fluorometholone is used:

Fluorometholone is used to treat eye swelling and irritation.

Do not take Fluorometholone:

· If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

· If you have any severe eye infections or tuberculosis of the eye.

Warnings and Precautions:

Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including if you have:

· If you have had any other eye problems, including increased pressure in the eye.

· If you have a viral infection such as herpes.

Prolonged use of this medication may lead to increased pressure in the eye. This may lead to eye problems such as glaucoma, damage to the optic nerve, and blurred vision. It may also lead to eye infections.

The preservative benzalkonium chloride in the eye drops can damage contact lenses. If you wear contact lenses, wait 15 minutes after using this medication before replacing them.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.

Side effects include:

· Eye irritation

· Increased pressure in the eye

· Burning or stinging sensation

· Redness


Other medications and Fluorometholone:

· Tell your doctor about all the medications you take.

· Separate this medication from other eye drops.

How to take Fluorometholone:

· This medication is for adults and children 2 years of age and older.

· Take this medication as directed by your doctor.

This medication is for the eyes only.

The usual recommended dosage is one or two drops in the eye two to four times daily.

How to store Fluorometholone:

Store at room temperature below 77°F (25°C).
