It is a herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant for productive coughs in adults, adolescents, and children 2 years and older.
It loosens phlegm and relieves a hacking, irritating cough by clearing the airways. This syrup also relieves shortness of breath associated with bronchitis.

Do not take dried ivy leaf extract:

If you are allergic to ivy leaves, or to plants of the Araliaceae (ivy) family.

Children under 2 years of age, due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms.

Warnings and Precautions:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist:
If children aged 2-4 years have a persistent or recurring cough.
If breathing difficulty, fever, or purulent sputum (containing pus) is present.
If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of taking this medicine.
If you are taking other medicines that suppress coughs (opioid cough suppressants such as codeine or dextromethorphan).
If you have stomach problems (gastritis, stomach ulcers).
If you have kidney or liver failure.

Possible side effects:

Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhea

Other medicines and dried ivy leaf extract:

It has not been reported to affect the effects of other medicines.

How to take dried ivy leaf extract:

For adults over 18 years: The usual dose is 5-10 ml three times daily.
For children between 6 and 12 years: The usual dose is 5 ml twice daily.
Use the measuring cup provided for the correct dose.
Take undiluted and without regard to meals.
During the day, drink plenty of water or other warm, caffeine-free beverages.
