Product Description

Kaolin (19.30 g), Pectin (0.43 g) 100 ml Suspension

What is Kaolin, Pectin, and What Is It Used For?

Kaolin is a hydrated aluminum silicate, and pectin is a pure carbohydrate product from the peel of citrus fruits.
Kaolin works by absorbing gases, toxins, and bacteria from the gastrointestinal tract and by increasing stool bulk.
It is therefore used to treat the symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders associated with diarrhea.
Pectin not only provides additional absorption power to kaolin but also has a coating effect on the intestines.
Therefore, combining the two products is a simple, safe, and effective anti-diarrheal product that combines both the essential absorbent and emollient properties to treat diarrhea.

Do not take Kaolin and Pectin:

Hypersensitivity to Kaolin and Pectin
You have a fever or if there is blood or mucus in your stool

Warnings and Precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist
If your diarrhea does not stop after a day or two or if you develop a fever.
If you are taking any other medication, do not take it within 2 to 3 hours of taking Kaolin and Pectin. Taking these medications together may prevent the other medication from being absorbed by your body.

Possible Side Effects:

No serious side effects have been reported with Kaolin and Pectin. However, Kaolin and Pectin may cause constipation in some patients, especially if they take too much of it.

Other Medications and Kaolin and Pectin:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Monitoring Dolutegravir and Kaolin. You should take dolutegravir at least two hours before or six hours after your dose of kaolin.
