Product Description
A valid prescription must be presented upon receipt of the order.

1. What is Prosta-Tab PR and what is it used for?
The active ingredient in Prosta-Tab PR is tamsulosin hydrochloride, which relaxes the muscles in the prostate and urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body), making urine pass easier through the urethra and aiding urination.
In the prostate gland, bladder and urethra there are specialized cells that contain alpha-1A receptors that cause muscle tension in the urethra. Prosta-Tab PR is an alpha-1A-adrenergic receptor blocker, which reduces the action of these specialized cells and relaxes the muscles, making urine pass easily.
Prosta-Tab PR is used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is an enlargement of the prostate gland.
Symptoms include difficulty starting to urinate, going to the toilet frequently to urinate, feeling that the bladder has not completely emptied and getting up several times in the night to urinate.

 2. What should you do before you take Prosta-Tab PR?
Contraindications to Prosta-Tab PR:

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tamsulosin or any of the other ingredients in Prosta-Tab PR.
If you suffer from severe liver disease.
If you have ever fainted or felt dizzy when sitting or standing up suddenly. Dizziness may occasionally occur when taking Prosta-Tab PR, especially if you are also taking other alpha-blocker medicines. If you feel weak or dizzy, sit or lie down straight until the symptoms are gone.
If you have previously suffered from low blood pressure on standing that causes dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting.

Precautions when taking Prosta-Tab PR:
If you suffer from kidney problems.
If you are to undergo or decide to undergo eye surgery due to clouding or clouding of the lens (glaucoma) or increased pressure in the eye (glaucoma), an eye syndrome may occur in which the iris becomes floppy during the operation.
Please tell your eye care professional that you are using or have previously used tamsulosin hydrochloride. Then the specialist may take appropriate precautions regarding the medication and surgical procedures used. Ask your doctor if you should postpone or temporarily stop taking this medicine when you are having eye surgery because of cloudy or blurred lenses.
If you feel dizzy or lightheaded.

Taking other medicines:
Make sure that you tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially those that lower blood pressure, as there may be a theoretical risk of their potentiating action while you are taking Prosta-Tab PR.
Please tell your doctor that you are taking Prosta-Tab PR before any surgery or any dental procedure as there is a possibility that your medicine may interfere with the effect of anesthetic drugs.
Please tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
The effect of other medicines may be affected when taken concomitantly with Prosta-Tab PR, which may also affect the efficacy of Prosta-Tab PR.

Prosta-Tab PR interacts with the following medications:
Diclofenac, a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory drug. This medicine speeds up the body"s elimination of tamsulosin, thus reducing the length of time tamsulosin takes effect.
Warfarin, a medicine that prevents blood clots. This medicine speeds up the body"s elimination of tamsulosin, thus reducing the length of time tamsulosin takes effect. Another blocker of alpha-1A-adrenergic receptors. Simultaneous use may cause a decrease in blood pressure, which may cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
Ketoconazole, a medicine used to treat fungal skin infections. This medicine may increase the effect of tamsulosin.

Driving and using machines:
Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel faint, dizzy, drowsy, or if you experience blurry vision until the symptoms resolve.
