Carvedilol is used to treat:
Hypertension.
Chest pain caused by narrowing of the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart (angina).
Heart muscle weakness (heart failure).

Do not take carvedilol:
If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you suffer from shortness of breath and wheezing due to asthma or other lung diseases.
If you have acute heart failure accompanied by fluid retention (swelling), it is treated with injections.
If you have liver problems.
If your heart beats too slow.
If you suffer from very low blood pressure.
If you suffer from Prinzmetal"s angina.
If you have pheochromocytoma (a tumor in the adrenal gland that causes high blood pressure).
if you have a condition called metabolic acidosis (increased acidity of blood plasma).
If you have severe poor blood circulation in the hands and feet that leads to cold and pain.
If you have conduction problems in your heart called AV block.
If you are currently being treated with verapamil or diltiazem injections.

Warnings and precautions:
Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions, including:
If you suffer from heart problems.
If you have or have ever had any problems with your liver, kidneys or thyroid gland.
If you suffer from diabetes.
If you have a skin disease called psoriasis.
If you have poor blood circulation affecting the hands or feet or Raynaud"s phenomenon.
