    What is Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone and what it is used for:
    Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone is a combination of a steroid and two antibiotics.
    It is used to treat an eye infection in the short term, when an antibiotic is also needed to prevent an eye infection.
     
    Do not take Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone:
    If you have any type of eye infections that are not treated including viral, fungal or untreated parasitic eye infections or tuberculosis of the eye.
    Use of steroids may worsen the infection.
    If you have a red eye that the doctor has not seen.
    If you are allergic to dexamethasone, neomycin, polymyxin B.
     
    Warnings and precautions:
    Do not inject or swallow this medication.
    Do not wear contact lenses while in use.
    Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you have a disorder that causes thinning of eye tissue.
     
    Consult your doctor or pharmacist if eye pain, redness, swelling or irritation worsens, or eye pain persists.
    If you use it for a long time, it can:
    Increased pressure in your eyes. Your eye pressure should be checked regularly while using it. This is especially important in children, because the risk of increased pressure in the eye caused by a corticosteroid may be greater in children and may occur earlier than in adults. The risk of increased intraocular pressure caused by corticosteroids and/or cataract formation is increased in patients at risk (eg, diabetes).

    Talk to your doctor if you experience swelling and weight gain around your torso and face because this is usually the first manifestation of a syndrome called Cushing"s syndrome. Suppression of adrenal gland function may develop after discontinuation of long-term or intensive treatment with this medicine. These risks are especially important in children and in patients treated with britonavir or cobicistat.
    Call your doctor if you have blurred vision or other visual disturbances.
    Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have diabetes or have a family history of diabetes.

    If you have diabetes and you are taking or have recently taken medicines to treat diabetes such as insulin, metformin, or a sulfonylurea such as chlorpropamide, this combination may reduce the blood sugar lowering effect.
     
    How to take Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone:
    The usual dose is 1 or 2 drops into the space between the eyelid and eye 6 times daily, or more if needed.
    Wash your hands before you start.
    Twist the bottle cap.
    Hold the bottle facing down between your thumb and fingers.
    Tilt your head back.
    Pull your lower eyelid with your finger until there is a "pocket" between the eyelid and the eye. The drop will enter here.
    Bring the tip of the bottle close to the eye. Do this in front of the mirror if it helps.
    Do not touch your eye, eyelid, surrounding areas, or other surfaces with the dropper.
    Gently tap the base of the bottle to release one drop at a time.
    Keep the eyelid closed, pressing gently against the corner of your eye from the nose. This helps reduce the amount of medicine that gets into the rest of the body.
    If you are using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes after putting in the drops before using the other drops. Eye ointments should be administered last.

    Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
