ACC Long 600mg contains the active substance acetylcysteine and liquefies viscous mucus in the airways.

 

ACC Long 600mg is used to loosen mucus and to ease coughing up in cases of cold- induced bronchitis in adolescents over 14 years of age and adults.

 

What you need to know before you take ACC:

 

 

 

DO NOT TAKE ACC if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or to any of the ingredients of this medicine. On account of the high amount of active substance, ACC Long 600mg is not recommended in children under 14 years. Other medicines with a lower amount of active substance are available for them.

 

Important warning for all age groups:

 

 

 

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

 

ACC Long 600mg contains sorbitol, lactose and sodium. This medicine contains up to 40mg sorbitol in each effervescent tablet. This medicine contains 70mg lactose per effervescent tablet. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. This medicine contains 6.03mmol (139mg) sodium per effervescent tablet. This is equivalent to 7% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult.

 

How to take ACC:

 

 

 

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

 

Dosage and duration of treatment:

 

Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age: ½ effervescent tablet twice daily or 1 effervescent tablet once daily

 

Method of use:

 

 

 

Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink the content of the glass immediately completely after meals. Dissolving ACC simultaneously with other drugs is not recommended. The effervescent tablet can be divided into equal doses.

 

Duration of use:

 

 

 

If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4-5 days, you should consult a doctor.

 

Possible Side effects:

 

 

 

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
